Established in 1968, It is one of the smallest national parks in Tanzania with only 35 km2 of protected land along the hills of the eastern shore of Lake Tanganyika. The Best Time to Visit Gombe Stream National Park is during the dry season, from June to September, and in January and February. These months offer pleasant weather, making it easier to navigate the trails and observe the chimpanzees. The wet season, from October to December and March to May, brings heavy rainfall and can make trekking challenging, but it also transforms the park into a lush, green paradise.
