The Best Time to Visit Katavi National Park is during the dry season, from June to October. This period witnesses the Katuma River shrinking, concentrating wildlife around its dwindling pools. The ensuing spectacle of masses of hippos, crocodiles, and various antelope species congregating in close quarters is a highlight of the dry season.
